The Camrose Kinettes have the ovens fired up and are preparing for the 6th annual Cookie Walk.
The sweet event will be held Nov. 21 at the Duggan Mall Farmer's Market starting promptly at 9 a.m. The cookie containers are selling for $15.
This year, along with hundreds of Christmas cookies, the group is also showcasing it's second-ever cook book.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital patients got a head start on the holiday season, and future architect degrees, by helping construct the hospital's signature gingerbread house with some expert chefs.
St. Jude staff spent 20 hours building the gingerbread house's main structure, which stands seven feet tall.
The next crucial step was the frosting and decorative cookies, supplied by the patients.

The Portage Lions want to thank all the community members who supported our annual scholarship cookie dough fundraisier.
We again sold enough tubs of dough to boost our scholarship fund to enable our group to present some deserving Portage High School seniors in the spring with some scholarship money to help offset those college fees.
I want to thank my fellow Lions members for all of their hard work in selling the dough and then with the delivery.
